Led by President and Founder Matthew Fournier, our team has the expertise, experience, and resources to successfully tackle challenges that other contractors can’t. Specializing in commercial construction, including full interior renovations, new construction, exterior improvements and expansions, we’re eager to solve building design and construction problems of all sizes.

MEET THE ELITE CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN TEAM
Matthew Fournier, President
With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Matt offers a wide range of experience — from commercial construction and facilities management to urban development. Matt plays a collaborative role educating and advising clients and partners on best practices and value engineering. Matt oversees all general contracting and urban development operations including permitting, project management, field management and estimating. He has supervised and managed more than $100 million worth of construction projects throughout his career with Elite Construction & Design. Matt is at his best in high stress environments, works to build and maintain partner and client relationships, and collaborates daily with his project teams to ensure the successful completion of every project and initiative. In Matt’s free time you can find him at the soccer field coaching his two boys’ teams, hiking with his family and two chocolate labs, skiing, biking and anything that gets him outside.
Scott Hobart, Managing Partner
With more than 20 years of experience in all disciplines of construction, Scott has been an asset to our growth. He has successfully worked on projects ranging in size from $1000 to $10 million and has experience in conceptual design development and estimating, as well as specialty projects including schools, medical facilities, commercial spaces, and government projects. Scott has always played a leadership role in the development and execution of all our client projects. His organizational skills, ability to estimate and schedule project phasing has enabled Elite Construction & Design to consistently meet and exceed client expectations and while at or under budget. As a project manager and natural problem-solver, he understands the need for timely, concise communication between all project partners. When Scotty is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, his wife and three girls. From hiking, four-wheeling, snowboarding, fishing their adventures are endless!
Steve Modica, Estimator/Project Manager
Steve has worked as both an estimator and project manager on a wide range of projects including retail, government, institutional, health-care, residential and commercial projects. His ability to adapt to client requests with a continuous sense of urgency has enabled him to excel in the industry and fostered an eagerness for the next challenge. After gaining valuable field experience with Elite Construction, Steve has grown into the role of project manager and estimator. Steve continues to earn the respect of his peers and demonstrates his value to Elite Construction & Design and our clients. Steve is an outdoorsman and a new Dad! You’ll find him maintaining his beautiful lawn and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
Lee Laflamme, Office Manager
Lee has more than 15 years of experience managing office settings. She has assisted in developing business systems, personnel management and regulatory compliance to expand the business according to best business practices. Lee is always striving to increase the certifications and credentials of the company and crews. Lee possess superior customer service skills and has had a positive impact on Elite’s growth and system development. Lee’s goals are to continue to optimize the efficiency of the office through streamlining procedures and designing new ones. When not at work, Lee spends time with her family including her black lab Ruby, running OCR races, or working in her garden.
Susan Burke, Accounts Payable Specialist
Susan has 15 years of experience working in the fast-paced Accounting industry. Her core focus in Executive Administration and Client Relations will aid EC&D in building strong communication and working relationships with our partners and vendors, allowing us to streamline internal processes and strengthen our internal systems. The ability to prioritize workloads, time management, and meet ever-changing deadlines while juggling changing priorities has helped the office run seamlessly. When not working the nine to five, you will find Susan spending quality time with family and friends, including her husband and four-legged daughter, a Shepherd mix canine.
The responsibility to keep our employees, clients, partners, and the public safe is our top priority and something we take seriously. That’s why we provide safety training taught by a certified safety instructor to our employees and subcontractors and are continually looking for opportunities to improve our safety measures. Our employees are empowered to take immediate action if they see anyone or anything that causes concern. We are firm in our commitment to ensure that everyone returns home safe and sound every day.
All of our employees are vetted, including going through background/CORI checks. Our team has continual training to ensure that they know and understand that discretion and confidentiality is of the utmost importance on each and every job.
